Men or women who have been accused or charged with assaulting their wives/husbands; girlfriends/boyfriends; exes or dating partners and/or other family members.
Length
Total: 64 Hours
32 weekly sessions of two hours each.
Content
Anger Management Training. Life skills, in depth goal settings, feelings identification, conflict resolution, communication skills, and risk planning.

Facts on Domestic Violence
• Nearly 1 in 3 adult women experience at least one physical assault by a partner during adulthood.
• Domestic violence is statistically consistent across racial and ethnic boundaries.
• Family violence costs the nation from 5 to 10 billion dollars annually in medical expenses, police and court costs, shelters and foster care, sick leave, absenteeism, and non-productivity.
• One-third of all female homicide victims are killed by husbands, ex-husbands, boyfriends, or ex-boyfriends.
• Some studies report that violence in a relationship is initiated as often by women as by men.
• A battering incident is rarely an isolated event.
• Battering tends to happen more frequently and severely over time.
• The prevalence of domestic violence among gay and lesbian couples is approximately 25-33%.
• Children who witness domestic violence are 6 times more likely to commit suicide.
• Child abuse is 15 times more likely to occur in families where domestic violence is present.
