1.) The Austin Stress Clinic is a for profit business that is not affiliated with any city, county or state agency. Our sole source of income is from clients’ fees. 2.) We expect full payment at the start of each class, and we offer a 10% fee reduction to encourage your prompt payment. You will have to pay your fee within the first week of your class to qualify for the 10% reduction. 3.) We realize that not all of our clients can pay upfront, so we also offer several different payment plans to help ease the burden. These include weekly, bi-weekly or monthly plans. 4.)The Austin Stress Clinic believes that a client’s payment for services is important as part of the therapeutic process and generally does not waive fees. ASC has a Fee Policy which each client is required to complete and sign. ASC believes that each client, regardless of financial circumstances should pay something for the services received, as it is therapeutic for offenders to be held financially accountable for their rehabilitation. 5.) The Austin Stress Clinic understands that all clients are not financially able to pay their fee in full. Consequently, we offer a sliding fee scale. In order to apply for this option, the client must call the office during business hours and speak with a staff member. The staff member will gather information regarding client income, number of dependents, regular budget items, and any extenuating circumstances that would explain a client’s inability to pay the fee in full. The staff will then make a decision as to whether or not the client’s fee should be reduced. 6.) When a client starts a class, he/she will be required to fill out and sign a Fee Policy and Payment Plan. Payments can be made weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. We accept cash, money order or personal checks. Cash or money order only for the Petty Theft and Assault Prevention Level 1 classes. Credit cards are not accepted. 7.) When a client fails to start a group or drops out of the program and wants to re-register for another class, he/she must pay a $50 re-registration fee in the office.
